Connecting a Broker
Types of Brokers: OAuth and Non-OAuth
On the AlgoBulls platform, there are two types of brokers: OAuth and Non-OAuth. The method of adding a broker to your account depends on which type they fall under.
What is an OAuth Broker?
OAuth (Open Authorization) is a secure protocol that allows you to authenticate your broker account without sharing your credentials directly with AlgoBulls. Instead, you are redirected to the broker's website to log in securely. Once authenticated, your broker grants AlgoBulls permission to access your trading account, allowing you to trade without entering your credentials again.
What is a Non-OAuth Broker?
Non-OAuth brokers do not support this type of automatic authentication. Instead, you must manually enter your login credentials on the AlgoBulls platform, which then securely stores the information and enables access to your trading account. This process involves directly providing your credentials for AlgoBulls to handle trades on your behalf.
How to Add Brokers
1. Navigate to Broking Details
From the AlgoBulls sidebar, select Broking Details. Then click on the Add Broker button, which will open a pop-up window.
For OAuth Broker
2. Select a Broker
- Select the broker from the list. Ensure the broker name includes "OAuth" in the respective column. You can also use the search bar for easier navigation.
- You will be redirected to the broker's site, where you'll be prompted to log in. After successfully entering your credentials, you will be automatically redirected to the AlgoBulls platform, and your broker account will be added.
For Non-OAuth Broker
